Journey
Sometimes the journey must be taken alone, and it appears endless.
At other times, the journey is shared with others and is short-lived.
Traveling by land, sea, air, or in the mind, the journey has many faces
and goes to many places. Sometimes the journey is a struggle. Sometimes
one doesn't want to go any further, but rather wishes to rest and stay put.
Regardless of one’s intentions, the journey pushes one forward, and soon one
discovers an endless array of experiences and openings.

The painting suggests that journeys are not solitary. They carry echoes of the past, awareness of the present, and the unfolding promise of what is still to come, strengthened through connection and collective imagination.
JOURNEYS
During the COVID‑19 pandemic, it was a difficult time for many, losing family members
and having to stay indoors. It was during this time that
I found an avenue to reflect on those who lost their lives and those who are
continuing the journey of living.
Through the art pieces below, I am grateful that I can give homage to those
before us and to those who are moving on. As I recognize the body as a vehicle,
the true essence of us is within this vessel--
where all things reside: the energy of life, which lives forever.
